How can I improve my oral communication / public speaking?

public speaking
Danielsan A asked:

I write well, however, can articulate the same thing was verbally somewhat boring for me. The writing is easy – talk publicly of intelligence and articulation seems a little hard for me. Is there a reason for this and how can I improve my public speaking skills / oral presentation and articulation generally include the general statement and the tone and voice clarity? Experts in speech, help!

    Practice.

    If your mind is like mine, it goes pretty quick. The connection between my brain and my mouth isn’t the best. I’m on one thought, trying to explain it, but by the time I start talking, my minds moved on and now the confusion between my brain and mouth has started. Words may come out wrong, I get excited, anxious, and a copia of garbage comes out.

    I want to say one thing but am thinking of something else.

    How can you improve this? Slow your mind down so it’s not going warp 10.

    Your breathing rate must also slow down – breathing is directly connected to the mind. This is why, when you’re anxious or excited, it’s difficult to express words – your mind is racing.

    Ever notice how calm, collective, “cool” people just kind of talk slow, confident? Everything is just coming in as it is. They aren’t thinking about tomorrow, they aren’t worrying about yesterday, they are just taking the moment in and expressing it as it is.

    My recommendation is meditation for your mind – it’s an exercise that will slow everything down naturally, without trying. There are breathing exercises one can also do – Pranayama is a good one to investigate, it’ll help you breathe correctly, deeply which will lead to more confidence.

    Practice, practice, practice. Use friends or family as your audience. Practice in front of a mirror to see how the audience sees you as you give your speech.
